History of Momenta
With a deep interest for the physiology of human kinetics, Nicholas Zaleski enrolled into the school of Health and Kinesiology at Purdue University in 2005. He concentrated his studies towards Movement and Sport Sciences, obtaining the Bachelor of Arts in December 2009. Along the way, his knowledge for human movement was acquired from not only his studies, but from the life-long involvement of soccer, swimming, biking, running, and more recently the extremely demanding disciplines of Parkour and Freerunning. Through these practices, he's obtained the skills to overcome physical and mental obstacles and understands that anything is possible for those who are willing to try.
Nick began instructing Parkour and Freerunning in late 2007, training those with no athletic background to the advanced. His education and instruction has reshaped the bodies and minds of many people from all over the world. During his final semester at Purdue, he directed his attention towards Biomechanics, researching the effects of postural rehabilitation, working one-on-one with subjects for improved proprioceptive control. From these experiences of helping hands-on, he felt great satisfaction from instilling a renewed sense of well-being to those under his care.
Alongside his close friends, they formed the Freerunning group, Team Momenta, offering help, performing live, and inspiring on-goers through acrobatics, stunts, and great entertainment. After obtaining his degree, he decided to extend his passion for witnessing a smile in the form of personal training and parkour instruction. He acquired the National Academy of Sports Medicine personal training certification, the World Freerunning Parkour Federation parkour instructor license, commenced Momenta Fitness, and now reaches out to spread the feeling of a truly healthy, happy heart.
